More evil occurrences in the country have continued to claim lives, this time in Luapula Province where 9 people died on the spot in a road accident last night around 21:00 hours along Mansa Mwense road at Chitensha village in Mwense with 20 others seriously injured.
According to the Police Service spokesperson, Elizabeth Kanjela, the accident happened after the vehicle had a tyre burst causing it to go off road, and later hit into a tree and overturned.
Kanjela said involved was a motor vehicle Mitsubishi Canter light truck Reg No. ALF 1266 driven by Bupe Evans with 31 passengers on board.
The passengers are believed to be members African Methodist Episcopal Church who were travelling from Mansa to Mwense.
Kanjela named the victims of the latest evil occurrence whose bodies are lying in Mansa General Hospital awaiting postmortem are:

• Kasongo Lumbwe
• Nelson Mpansa
• James Mwila
• Mwewa Patson
• Morgan Chipasha
• Muyembo Chimba
• Nganga Jackson
• Musonda Chinyangwha
The injured survivors are admitted in Mambilima Mission Hospital while three others are in Mansa general hospital.
The driver of the vehicle is on the run and police are have appealed to members of the public to assist with any information that might lead to his arrest.
MMD president Pastor Nevers Mumba recently said there were more evil occurrences in the country since PF took over power and the nation needed spiritual healing.
